The workshop will provide participants with an overview on the requirements to handle, store and distribute packaged Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Materials and Chemicals in a global logistics environment. It will equip participants with the required knowledge to understand the basics of this specialized logistic field while focusing on:
Classification of Dangerous goods and Proper Shipping Names
Packing of Dangerous Goods
Marking, labelling and placarding of Dangerous Goods
Packing/Unpacking of CTUs
Preparation of transport document of Dangerous Goods
Offering of Dangerous Goods for transport
Accepting of Dangerous Goods for transport
Handling of Dangerous Goods in transport
Preparation of Dangerous Goods loading/stowage plan
Loading/unloading Dangerous Goods into/from ships
Carriage of Dangerous Goods
Compliance with applicable rules and regulations
To successfully complete the course, participant needs to obtain 80% or more of the total marks in the examination. Certification is issued upon the completion of the course.
